How your order moves forward
We confirm the drawing requirements at the start, then agree the checks and approvals needed as the order progresses.
Drawing review

- What we need from you
- For a quote, the starting package is a controlled drawing and model with part number, units and revision, plus material, quantity, function and required arrival. For an existing sample, identify the features to retain or change and any measurement or drawing work needed.
- What we do
- We check geometry, workholding, cutter access and critical features, raise any questions and propose a machining route or alternatives.
- Before the next stage
- File conflicts need a named controlling document. Geometry or setup changes and permitted alternatives need your approval before production.
Quotation

- What we need from you
- The quotation needs the finish, inspection, sampling and records required, plus the destination and shipping basis.
- What we do
- Our quotation sets out the process, material, finish and quantity, together with inspection, records, the production schedule and shipping basis.
- Before the next stage
- The accepted quote records included work, separate charges, payment stages and sample costs alongside the drawing revision.
Sample approval

- What we need from you
- The evaluation needs fit and appearance criteria and any functional test procedure. It also names who supplies mating components and fixtures, who performs the checks and who approves the result.
- What we do
- We make the sample to the agreed revision, material and finish, then check it within the evaluation scope. The record keeps approved alternatives and unresolved differences visible.
- Before the next stage
- Approval records the tested configuration, first-article results and release criteria. A substitute prototype material or finish limits what the result establishes. Changes to design, material, finish or route may need fresh approval; batch release is a separate decision.
Production & inspection

- What we need from you
- The production release identifies the revision, material, finish, critical features, datums, sampling and required records.
- What we do
- We work to the approved configuration. Measurement methods, instrument range, available calibration evidence and report format are settled with you before ordering.
- Before the next stage
- The order sets first-article checks, recorded measurements, material traceability and handling of nonconforming parts. It also specifies sampling, any 100% inspection, and the calibration records and reports required for CMM measurements.
Packing & handover

- What we need from you
- Destination, receiving contact, required arrival and handling limits guide the shipment. The packing instructions identify cosmetic faces, seals, threads and fragile edges, with cleanliness, corrosion protection and labels where required.
- What we do
- We provide protective packing, a packing list, commercial invoice and shipment information. Material, finishing and dimensional records are included when agreed in the order.
- Before the next stage
- The packing plan covers cartons or wooden cases, separation, pack weight and handling. Labels and packing lists use matching part, revision, batch and quantity references. Transport responsibilities and destination documents are settled before production.
Commercial terms and delivery
The accepted quotation records the price, payment stages and delivery responsibilities.
- Price and separate charges
- Identify tooling, special documentation, freight and duties where charged separately. Confirm the payment method, currency, payment stages and amount at each stage.
- Sample costs
- The quote lists machining, setup and freight charges and any sample-fee credit toward a later order.
- Delivery responsibilities
- Distinguish dispatch from arrival. Agree the Incoterm and version, named place, booking, customs clearance, duties, taxes, insurance and local delivery responsibilities. EXW, FOB or DDP applies as quoted; DDP is not automatic.
- Transport and records
- Courier, air or sea depends on size and destination; DHL, FedEx or UPS can be discussed. Confirm destination-specific documents before production.
Changes and after-sales
- Changes after approval
- A drawing or quantity change can affect price, route and schedule. Review changed features and update the scope; a revised drawing may need sample approval again. Plan prototypes and repeat orders.
- Report a nonconforming part
- Send the revision, part or batch reference, affected quantity, photographs and measurements. LZZ reviews the discrepancy against the agreed acceptance criteria and agrees corrective action with you.
- Agree the remedy
- The order sets warranty coverage, period and start date, exclusions and the reporting procedure, with responsibility for rework, replacement, return freight and any refund. Discuss a part discrepancy.
