Billet aluminum intake plenums

Cutter access to an intake plenum depends on how its chamber opens for machining. The closure arrangement then locates the pieces and their mating intake connections around the chamber, ports and supporting features.

Made to your drawing. The approved specification defines dimensions, material, finish and the supplied components.

Internal volume and port relationships

A sectioned model defines the chamber, supports and transitions into each port. Closure faces and joining boundaries connect that internal geometry to the external connections.

Identify the machined components, purchased or customer-supplied items, joining and fasteners in the assembly drawing. Agree acceptance after assembly.

The approved component model supplies the complete internal section and production revision.

Port transitions

Finish & pressure requirements

Specify exterior appearance separately from internal surface requirements. Define any split-line seal and post-finish dimensions; pressure ratings and sealing tests require agreed conditions and limits.

Split-line seal and separate pressure criteria.

Machining the chamber before closure

The split and assembly arrangement determine how we reach the chamber. We review which surfaces to machine while it is open, how to locate the pieces during joining and which faces or ports need a final operation afterward.

Set cleanliness, leak and flow acceptance requirements for the assembled plenum. The order must include the test criteria and identify who carries out validation.

Chamber geometry and cutter access determine whether a five-axis surfacing route is suitable. Include the performance target and controlling component model.

These are form references for custom intake plenums. Requirements for the actual application come from your drawing.
