Non-metallic & insulating components

Raised sections, slots and mounting holes need support suited to the non-metallic material and mounting loads. Working interfaces guide the machining plan; any electrical-insulation duty also needs its own requirements.

Raised sections, slots and mounting loads

Support faces and hardware-mounting slots or holes define how the component is installed. Section thicknesses and any relevant clamping loads let us review the chosen material under those conditions.

Define the material, service environment and measurement state together with the fitted geometry.

Material & environment

Specify the grade, fillers and stock condition, service temperature, moisture and chemical contact. Define the relevant electrical, chemical or wear requirements, with material documents and material-selection limits.

Material documents and measurement condition.

Holes & thin sections

Locate holes and slots from assembly datums, showing fragile sections, pockets and barriers. Dimension holes, slots, mounting and working faces; agree edge checks and required properties.

Hole, slot and working-face dimensions.

Assembly loads

Show mounting, clamping and loads. Agree conditioning, support and measurement temperature for fitted dimensions in the selected material; specify electrical or service tests separately.

Fit and support under the specified assembly loads; any separate electrical or service-test criteria.

Validation & suitability

Specify the polymer grade and any electrical, optical, food-contact or medical requirements, including test criteria, compliance documents and inspection records.

Specify edge checks and any separate electrical or material-test criteria.

Supporting and measuring the non-metallic form

We support raised and slotted sections while keeping their working faces accessible. Measurement support and material condition must also match the drawing and installation loads.

For insulation duties, specify electrical conditions, material documentation and test criteria separately from dimensional acceptance.

CNC machining from sheet, rod and block stock uses low-stress workholding and heat control suited to the specified non-metallic material.

For insulation, wear, gear, bushing or slider applications, specify the polymer properties and working interfaces. State the service conditions and any required material or functional tests.
