Custom machined plastic parts
Polymer grade affects how recesses, holes and thin sections can be held and machined. For the selected component, the plan connects mounting surfaces and edge quality with its operating and measurement conditions.

Choose the component you need quoted and provide its controlled drawing, material and specification.
Select one form and one material specification
Each selected component needs a complete model covering recess depths, holes and wall sections, with the material and working conditions assigned to its part number.
| Feature | Drawing requirements | Acceptance checks |
|---|---|---|
| Grade & stock condition | State the polymer grade, fillers and stock condition. These materials have different properties and are not interchangeable specifications. | Grade, fillers and stock condition. |
| Mating geometry | Bores, slots and working surfaces need to suit the component they guide or seal against. Show interference fits and assembled loads, with surface texture, edge quality, cleanliness and material-handling requirements for the selected grade. | Fits in the agreed measurement state. |
| Measurement & acceptance | Fitted dimensions need a specified conditioning, support and measurement temperature. Fit, surface and appearance limits and the required records apply in that agreed state. | Surface, appearance or independent functional limits. |
| Service & suitability | Include service temperature, moisture, chemical exposure, loads and mounting conditions. Specify the polymer grade and any electrical, optical, food-contact or medical tests and compliance documents required for the application. | State surface, cleanliness and material-handling requirements for the selected grade. |
Reviewing recesses for the selected polymer
We plan cutter access, support and edge cleanup for the geometry and stock material. The drawing identifies controlled surfaces and edges that must remain sharp or have a specified break.
Include operating temperature, moisture and chemical exposure where relevant. These conditions guide the machining and measurement plan for the specified grade.
Plastic grade, machining temperature and component geometry together affect the milling and turning plan.
Insulators, seals, gears and structural supports need different polymer properties. Define the temperature, exposure and mating conditions for the selected component, from prototype through repeat production.
