Milled instrument blocks & brackets

A mounting face, bore or shoulder may locate a block, bracket or cylindrical component in its assembly. The selected shape and mating part determine the milling setup.

Choose the component you need quoted and provide its controlled drawing, material and specification.

Select the form and its mounting interfaces

A face, bore or shoulder locates the part in its assembly. The drawing should reference the other mounting features to that datum and include mating geometry that affects the fit.

Mounting faces

Identify the surfaces that locate the block or bracket in the assembly. Dimension mounting holes, positions and face relationships from those datums.

Mounting positions and face relationships.

Bores & internal passages

Use sections to show intersecting bores and hidden passages. Specify bore access, deburring and cleanliness requirements for the intended use.

Access & workholding

Include stock dimensions and the faces available for clamping, together with fixture-contact and final acceptance conditions. If starting from an existing component, agree reverse engineering and approve the drawing before manufacture.

Fixture contact and final acceptance state.

Further drawing requirements

Include thread specifications and mark inaccessible edges. Set separate cleanliness and leak-test criteria, and specify first-article, in-process, final or pre-shipment checks as needed.

Access around a block or bracket

We check where fixtures can contact the part without blocking its mounting faces, bores, recesses or side features. When the part changes orientation, we locate it so those features stay related to the drawing datums.

Supply a section through hidden recesses and state whether the mating component locates on a face, bore or shoulder. This determines which relationships need inspection and which surfaces only provide clearance.

3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC milling.

Laboratory, hydraulic, automotive and fire-rescue assemblies rely on defined mounting faces and interfaces. Include the equipment drawing and any application-specific inspection or testing requirements.

Request a quote for your part

Include passage sections, thread specifications, mating-component references and material grade. Include the revision, quantity and delivery destination.

Tell us how the part will be accepted, including measurement methods, its condition at inspection, sampling and report format.
