Complex internal & external turned features

Small shafts and sleeves can put bores, thread ends and cross-holes close to external steps. Cutter and gauge access from each end determines how the recessed working surfaces can be machined and checked.

Select the component you need quoted and provide its controlled drawing. Each pictured form is a separate reference, not a supplied set.

Internal access beside external steps

Sections through internal shoulders, grooves and intersecting holes let us assess restricted access. They need to include entry size, bore depth and undercuts alongside the external profile.

Internal bores

Provide sections for bore depths, steps and internal grooves. Dimension seal lands, mark sealing and guiding surfaces, and define gauge or measurement access for difficult internal features.

Access for measuring internal steps and grooves.

External features

Relate shoulders, grooves and outside diameters to the working axis. Specify common-axis relationships and fitted sizes.

Common-axis and fitted-size requirements.

Repeat-order checks

Identify the drawing revision and critical features before production. Agree first-article, sampling, batch and release records, including any statistical process control or batch-consistency checks.

Tool clearance and measurement inside the part

Bore depth and entry size limit how far the tool can reach and how chips leave the part. We also check burr removal at intersecting features and how to hold the part to finish the opposite end.

Agree the gauge or measurement method for recessed features and the production checks for the release quantity. Set batch quantities and production schedules in the quotation.

Multi-axis CNC turning uses production-specific tooling and standardized repeat setups. Capacity is assessed against the quantity, date and required reports for each order.

Repeat orders for valve cores, bushings and sleeves need controlled bore fits, working diameters and shoulder positions. Identify the release quantity, sampling plan and required batch records.
