Milled metal brackets & finished housings

Finishing affects fit as well as appearance. For a bracket or housing, we review the substrate, exposed faces and protected interfaces against the dimensions required after treatment.

Select the component you need quoted and provide its controlled drawing. Each pictured form is a separate reference, not a supplied set.

Separate coated faces from working fits

A marked drawing distinguishes visible faces from threads, fitted bores and locating surfaces. Masking and final dimensions at those interfaces keep the finish specification consistent with assembly fit.

Functional dimensions

Mark bores, holes and faces that control fit. Identify the dimensions that must be accepted in the final finish state.

Dimensions in the final finish state.

Visible surfaces

Keep cosmetic acceptance distinct from dimensional limits. Provide a controlled finish specification and appearance, color or texture reference where applicable.

Protected areas

Identify untreated assembly surfaces and the threads, contacts or fitted areas needing masking or special handling during treatment.

Planning machining around the final treatment

We plan edge preparation, operation order and handling around the substrate and final treatment. Fitted surfaces that need protection must be identified before the coating or conversion process is selected.

Provide a color or texture sample for appearance acceptance and mark the viewing surfaces. Specify the finishing process, coating thickness and corrosion requirements on the drawing or finish specification.

Setup changes and working faces determine what must be protected during the selected surface treatment.
